Sociological Approach to Conflict Perspectives in the Qur'an: Its Relevance to Contemporary Social Reality
Keywords:
Sociological Approach, , Conflict Perspective,, al-Qur’an,, Social RealityAbstract
This article discusses how a sociological approach from a conflict perspective can be used to understand social messages in the Qur'an and their relevance to current social realities. The issue raised centres on how the Qur'an highlights social dynamics filled with tension, injustice, and conflicts of interest between groups. This research was conducted using qualitative methods through literature analysis, namely by examining verses of the Qur'an related to social conflict as well as the views of classical and modern exegetes and sociologists. The results of the study show that conflict in the view of the Qur'an is not necessarily negative, but rather part of a social mechanism that encourages change towards justice and balance. This approach is relevant to contemporary social phenomena such as economic inequality, power imbalance, and moral crisis in modern society. In conclusion, the integration of Qur'anic values and sociological approaches to conflict can be the basis for building a more just, critical, and humanistic society in accordance with Islamic principles.
